2.1 - What is the Internet?

Connecting two computers to send information back and forth is simple enough. It's like using two cans on a string. A message from A is sent to B and vice versa.

The telephone system and our streets and highways are a series of connected routes from point A to B. The Internet is not much different than a set of phones or home addresses with the ability to reach whichever phone or home we want.
